Ocean Coast Hotel at the Beach

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the complimentary breakfast was not too bad and they had a pretty decent variety to choose from. The location is very good especially if you want to see an amazing sunrise, not even a half a block.

Stayed at this location in November. Not a 5 star hotel but the service, cleanliness and staff is very much 5 star. Housekeeping Manager and staff are rock stars. Breakfast was awesome. Would visit again.

My family is here right now and it's literally perfect?! I'm suspicious about all the negative reviews. Maybe they're local competitors playing dirty or something. The front desk clerk was friendly and attentive, the rooms are exactly how the pictures appear, and the beach is right outside within easy walking distance. It's a better deal than any beach hotel that I've ever seen! My family is relaxed and happy. Thank you!

It all happened in September 2023 whenever our daughter and her fiance surprise us on a trip with them they didn't say where we were going just to pack items that we would need and that is going to be warm. Whenever we got closer my daughter said that we will be in Fernandina Florida in such amount of miles. Whenever we got to the hotel she said this is where we would be staying. And that we are walking distance to the beach. We enjoyed each day there. Even to a surprise that our daughter and her fiance took and got married at the beach. They did not want a large wedding they only wanted them and me and my husband. As well as the spirit of her fiance grandfather and his mother that he lost . That part of Florida is very special to him. And to the rest of his family members. As well to me and my husband. We like it very much. And since that year me and my husband have been back to vacation and will continue .

From start to finish Ocean Coast was an amazing stay! (Well, after we were escorted by a wrecker for an hour... Rich probably will always remember us but anyway....) We will definitely be going again. Rich, the associate at the desk, was FABULOUS. He was so nice, understood our needs, and MADE SURE we were happy. I cannot stress enough how GREAT he was. He deserves a RAISE! Yes, I am putting CAPS because he deserves to stand OUT compared to the rest of the review. RICH made us feel rich there, waiting on us with KINDNESS, PATIENCE, HUMOR, AND UNDERSTANDING. For Ocean Coast, they have AMAZING people and it's proximity to the beach was a short walk without the price of being right on the sand! Everything was clean and well prepared, the included amenities was amazing! We felt like we were on a luxury vacation on economy pricing. My family and I had a lot of fun. When is was too dark to be in the ocean, we spent time in the pool. When we woke up, we had a great breakfast in the dinning room. Everything was simply wonderful.

Really convenient location. It's right near the beach, with a handful of restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel was clean, and I felt safe. I didn't care much for having to pay $10 a night to park, but I can certainly understand the need to maybe have that during peak tourist seasons. Also, the overall state of the hotel made up for having to pay. I would book here again.

I stayed here with my friend, and the reception staff were very helpful. We checked in at night without any trouble (Had to keep $50 security deposit though). The room was clean and well-equipped, with enough towels, soap, lotion, and amenities, including an oven and a fridge. There were no stains or odors, and the room was quiet and comfortable for a perfect sleep. The hotel is very close to the beach-just a one-minute walk— and interestingly, you can drive your vehicle directly onto the beach from here. If you're looking for a place to stay between Savannah and St. Augustine/Jacksonville, this hotel is a great choice.

A little bit older hotel, but very convenient and clean. Free parking. The hot tub was not working, but the pool is heated. I do recommend you bring your own pillow.
